A beautiful silver bronze tripod censer. The vessel is decorated to the bulbous sides with three regal pheasants set against a textured feather background, below a large cover pierced with an eternity design, topped by a young newborn pheasant. Pheasants are regarded in ancient China as auspicious birds that bring good fortune and prosperity. The birds are depicted with alert and protective expression with fully elaborated feathers. A stamp that reads " Qian Long Dynasty" indicates it is made after the Qing Dynasty style.
