A beautiful natural finish square table made of solid elm wood. The tabletop inset with an antique screen has rounded corners and carved surrounds creating a double illusion. The table top continues on to a set of tiered stretchers which are fitted with four rounded legs. Eight short braces provide vertical interests while further strengthening the structure. The square top features a special 19th century screen with a center medallion the Chinese character of "longevity" cornered with four "good fortune bats" and surrounded by symmetrical "eternity" pattern. Choice wood has beautiful grain. Custom glass. A versatile piece that can be used as a small coffee table, side table or a stand
